Supporting education that develops the whole child

Education has the power to bring about profound change, laying the foundation for a society built on opportunity, dignity and hope. Now, more than ever, we need to recognise that education holds the key to meaningful transformation.

Raising resilient children for a better world

Self-esteem begins to develop in the early years of a child's life. Primary school is where confidence is built, curiosity is encouraged, and children begin to discover their own potential.

Self-worth enables resilience. Resilient children are more likely to persevere through challenges, engage positively in their learning, and fulfil their potential despite the obstacles they may face.

When children feel seen, respected, and capable, they are more likely to thrive - both in the classroom and beyond. The environment in which a child learns plays a powerful role in shaping their confidence, character, and future opportunities.

At Llandudno Primary, every child is encouraged to participate, contribute, and shine in their own unique way.

Opening doors to education.
Nuturing potential.
Building futures.

“Kunye” is an isiXhosa word meaning 'together' — reflecting unity, compassion, and the community at the heart of the Kunye Foundation.

Established in memory of Ethan Mattison, the Foundation is committed to supporting the development of confident, resilient children to become tomorrow's ethical leaders. It honours his generous spirit by providing financial assistance to families in need, thereby giving more young learners access to a nurturing and holistic primary school education.

The Foundation is a registered Public benefit organisation (PBO) and Section 18A non-profit company.
